I also am unable to load elilo off of my internal hard disks (which are GPT formatted). The EFI firmware doesn't even find them. USB seems to work, though. I bet my GUID is set wrong on the partition. There appears to be no tool to change it on Linux that I can find. Yet another missing piece.
