By the looks of it, it's neither ! ;-)

Herd1 has not yet been released, and there is no maintenance release
for Edgy AFAIK, and chances are they will never be one, given it's
non-LTS status and short life cycle.

Just peacefully wait for herd to be officially announced... like I and
many others probably do...
