[Bug 45543] Re: Serious Data Loss resizing partitions

I've now been able to recreate this bug on another system. The key seemed
be attempting to resize the 2nd partition on the disk; resizing /dev/hda1
worked every time for me; however, resizing /dev/hda2 resulted in a blank
error dialog (blank as in, GUI not responding to repaints) and then after
using window mgr to close error dialog, installer continued even though
resize failed. That's probably how my original disk got hosed.

I've saved my /var/log/installer/syslog and I also took a screenshot of
the error screen. Do I attach these to the bug in launchpad? This list
probably doesn't want attachments right? :-)

Glad I was able to reproduce. Let me know what else I can do to help.

Cheers
Billy
