As we are this subject i have an other request/sugestion about this.
I also belong to the Users who disable "splash" usually and have fully
"loud" bootprozess on high-resolution framebuffer console.

Now after eatch Ubuntu release i have to manually edit
/lib/lsb/init-functions to have the ok in [ ok ] colored green.

Per default this is disabled for colorblind people, which is good.
But there are also people who have problems with red also, which is
enabled per default for "failed" messages.

Now how would it be to have a option in /etc/default/rcS like:
COLORBOOT=no

per default and with yes someone could esealy enable colored bootmessages?

This is no request for Dapper, since i do not know the impact of such a
request, but how would it be for edgy?

What do you think?

bye and thanks

Thilo
