I really prefer this text. Especially now when we are in Beta-cycle.
Because there are important messages that allways gives you the point to
where s.th. went wrong.

I am OK with a progress bar only theme, when the user has the chance to
choose a more informative splash. Right now when you delete "splash"
from kernel options you only see a deep black screen until gdm comes up.
This is no good for helping debuging you and myself, too.
