Will install CD and Live CD be merged in the future?

As far as I know the installCD and the liveCD works differently to
install the system, so it can't be merged together. Maybe the installCD
will be deprecated and the liveCD will become the official way to
install ubuntu... but I think it won't append before dapper+1 since
espresso doesn't seems to be very stable yet (but we have up to 1juin to
make it rocks-solid !)
