My next question is addressed to all Ubuntu developers:

Obviously "secure by default" means we can't enable RT scheduling for
the default user due to the DOS potential.  But, would it be acceptable
to enable RT privileges for a "realtime" group OOTB,
in /etc/security/limits.conf, so that all that's needed for RT audio to
work is to add the default user to that group?
