So for the people with the Gentoo mindset, is there a HOWTO or a Wiki
entry detailing how to bootstrap and recompile the entire Ubuntu system
with different gcc compile flags? Say for example someone wants to
optimise the entire base install for a Athlon64 X2 system.
( Ignoring the fact that it has been demonstrated over and over again
that it barely makes any difference. )
