In general, is it worth proposing discussion for Google Summer of Code
projects in progress? Obviously, the projects have already started so a
full-scale redesign would be inappropriate, and in many cases the
students may not be at the summit. On the other hand, perhaps their
specifications could benefit from some fine-tuning by people aware of
plans in other parts of the distribution.
