This does indeed look like a handly little pam lib, as is pam-ssh (which
is already available in the repositories).

I've only had one quick stab at getting pam_keyring going, without much
luck. I've seen some suggestion that you need to use an older version of
it to get it to work with the version of pam in Dapper, which seems to
be a little out of date. A quick browse of the edgy packages list
suggests that it is going to be using the same version as Dapper, so it
may not be all that easy to get pam_keyring in.
