Nightmare reboots

It's not gonna help you much sadly, but just so that you don't feel
alone or start looking strange at your hardware... I have experienced
something similar with Edgy 3 days ago or so. I left the machine
unattended for maybe an hour, and when I was back, to my surprise it
had powered off by itself !
Usually it does that when there is a power cut, but my alarm clock
didn't get reset, so I don't think there were any power cut, so must
have been the machine indeed who took that decision ! ;-)

I didn't think much of it, as Edgy is still under heavy development of
course, but I hope it won't do that anymore once it's released !! ;-)
