UDF support status ?

Actually I mean both.

According to https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+spec/cd-packet-writing
packet-writing is not done yet, so why does the GUI pretend, that it wrote the
files to the CD ? Even with a dialog saying exactly that ?

Besides isn't packet-writing a done deal, used on SuSE for years and merged into
Linus kernel months ago ?
