is that Bug 29760 [1]? I'm not sure breaking the sound when using the
Macromedia flash plugin to go around this problem is going to be a
very popular solution.

I personally use sound in flash nearly daily (mostly with Google
Reader), and it's true it makes the browser somewhat unstable from
time to time, but that's less an incovenience for me than totally
losing access to sound via that plugin.

Obviously I'll probably follow the advice in that bug report ("Users
who find this inconvenient can turn the hack back"), and hope that
gnuash reach an usable state sooner than later, but I can just see
more questions about all this coming our way once we reach the date of
the release and people start using Dapper in large numbers.
