GUI admin tools should provide transparency

Just my 2 euro-cents on this topic. What is nice with gui tools is having the 
possibility to learn the internals while using them, if we wish to do so. IBM 
AIX SMIT admin tool always lets you see what script is run to execute a high 
level admin task and it really speeds up my AIX learning when I was a 
complete beginner.

As for ubuntu gui admin tools, I would find it very usefull to have somewhare 
in a log file, a dump of final commands that were executed to do the task, it 
would provide :

1. a guide for beginner who want to get advanced users : what commands do I 
have to learn in manuals, docs etc

2. a mean to debug the tool or system when the gui task execute wrong actions
