Gnome Screensaver issues?

Well, looking at the filed bugs against gnome-screensaver here:

There are quite some bugs which I consider as a user (but as developer,
I'm biased): 

- #32977 is probably the most annoying bug to users which are used to
  xscreensaver, and what seems to cause most noise on this list

- #31511, #32735 are other annoyances due to switching to gnome
  screensaver. 

Looking at the other 'usual' bugs in gnome-screensaver filed in malone,
it seems to me that xscreensaver is more mature than gnome-screensaver.
But this is a decision the Desktop-Team has to make.
