You would be more likely to get this implemented by writing it up on 
the Ubuntu wiki <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/>, so it can be reviewed and 
approved/declined at the next Ubuntu developer conference. The 
ubuntu-devel mailing list is not a good place for feature design.
