you might want to check out https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DapperFlight4
which shows the improvements done during the development phase of the
upcoming Ubuntu 6.04 release. Most notable of which is the Live CD
installer (espresso). What does this mean to the average consumer? He
pops in an Ubuntu CD to his computer, it boots to a live session of
Ubuntu without removing anything on his existing hard drive. If he
likes what he sees, he can install it from the live session to his
hard drive.
