it seems to have been moved since:
http://cvs.freedesktop.org/xorg/app/compiz/

not yet tried it out myself, but I hope to do so before dapper is
released. perhaps someone with better skills will build .deb for
dapper, but I don't think it should make it into main before long, it
still has many drawbacks:
http://en.opensuse.org/Xgl has some usefull informations
