Ok, here are my observations thus far (please shout if I should be
redirecting some of these to Malone):

o The amd64 installer was unable to handle WEP properly (I tried running
iwconfig from another console and it gave an error and refused to set
the key)
o Beyond that the stock drivers seem to work fine using the default
networky things and the Network-Manager applet
o Adam Conrad's directory doesn't appear to include a deb for the amd64
kernels, so I haven't tried those madwifi-ng packages yet, but would be
very happy to
