Yes but for most drivers they would accept "$FOO driver needs it" as a
reason not to remove code from the kernel. They have made clear that
this will not be the case for ndiswrapper as it's not a real Linux
driver but a completely unsupported hack to allow running Windows
drivers under Linux.
