extended partition not covering entire hard disk

I believe that fdisk and (g/qt)parted have no problem adding more 
logical volumes using the remaining free space on the disk.  Also if you 
really want to use the rest of the disk in the extended partition, 
simply allocate the rest of the space to a logical partition during the 
install.
