Linux/Unix version of SPECviewperf 9 now available article on lwn

I just came across an article on lwn about the availability of
SPECviewperf 9 for Linux.  http://lwn.net/ Would this be a useful to
determine the performance of various graphics cards and drivers under
Ubuntu.  If it would be useful, could one of you legal folks look at the
license?  I find assembly code more readable than most licenses!
