Using existing partitions in partman

Hi,

In our derivative distro we are creating an upgrade option in the
installer. To do it we need to use the existing partition. We have
created a new dir in the partman-auto deb that if it is the correct case
it shows de upgrade option (creating a convenient choices file). But
when the user select the option it doesn't work (the do_option script).

I've followed the partman documentation to create de do_option
script. The script creates the necessary files (method, use_filesystem,
etc) in the device directory as explained in the documentation, calls
the update_partition script and ends with 255. Everything seems OK at
this point. But in the stepReady the installer says that it's not going
to use de partition.

I've compared it with the dir/file estructure create when you choose
erasing the whole drive and it seems that our conf it's ok. But the
installer doens't know that it hace to use that partition.

Any ligth about this? Do i need to make some more changes to use the
partition?

Thanks in advance.
