Scott, are you sure you're not counting shared memory multiple times?

Anyways, Edgy was supposed to be the release where we put on all the
bells and whistles. I think if we helped fix some of Gnome's memory
usage and performace problems (http://live.gnome.org/GnomePerformance,
http://live.gnome.org/MemoryReduction,
http://live.gnome.org/CategoryOptimization) and used Tracker, the
desktop would be ('feel') as usable as one using
F-Spot/Tomboy/Beagle...
