Given that [0-3].debian.pool.ntp.org are CNAMEs for [0-3].pool.ntp.org,
 what's the point of using a vendor-specific pool, other than one extra
DNS lookup?

If there are no plans to detach vendor pools from the standard pools and
populate them with different servers, we should use [0-3].pool.ntp.org
directly, or otherwise stay with ntp.ubuntu.com.
