Thanks, but IMHO that's no long term solution. I run teTeX-3.0 from
Debian experimental on Debian Sarge for many weeks (with lots of
problems in the beginning) and installed teTeX-3.0 from source on my
Ubuntu laptop. The question was whether there will ever be /Ubuntu/
packages of recent teTeX versions.
