LongRun Utility

Good Day,
I have been using an ECS Desknote A530 with a Transmeta Crusoe TM5600
processor installed which supports the LongRun extensions -- and which
can be configured and set using the longrun package available in
universe. I have tried writing a comprehensive HOWTO at the Wiki [1]
which aims to provide information about the longrun utility. I for one,
have a few questions regarding the longrun package. These are
1. Is it being actively developed by anybody aside from Daniel Quinlan
(of Transmeta)?
2. Will there be any moves to incorporate these into the acpid and apmd
helper scripts for longrun-enabled specific systems?
3. Am I asking the wrong mailing list?
I ask these three questions because (for 1.) I would like to be able to
create friendlier wrapper functions (primarily for Ubuntu, or maybe even
Debian) or add "configurability" to the longrun tool. Being able to make
acpid and/or apmd scripts sounds like a good exercise too, but I'm not
too much of a scripting fan (as for 2.).
I also would like to know who among the people on the list are using
Crusoe-based machines.
Side note: How do I automatically load the CPUID and MSR modules on boot
time? Will there be issues if these modules are loaded by default on
Breezy?
TIA
