Conexant HSF modem support in ubuntu - call for testing

Hi,

as some of you must be aware of, the conexant modems didn't use to have
a open-source driver for quite a long time. There was one some years
ago, but then the development stopped and linuxant released only closed-
source versions of it.

The 2.6 kernels never had a free version but that one which limits the
speed on 14400 bps.

But then, a guy named Rafael Espindola got that old open-source version
and ported it to 2.6 kernels. It still depends on that firmware files,
which can be found at the modem's cd (they release that old free driver
with it)

I packaged it to Breezy, using debuild. I also updated the wiki entry to
reflect this.
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/forum/hardware/Conexant

I would ask for help on testing it with different modem versions.
Currently, the only model tested was 14f1:2f00

I also would ask the Ubuntu people some assistance regarding the legal
issues on it. Is Elmo the guy for it, isn't he?

If the package is good, I would like to have it in multiverse. It can
help several people.

Thanks for your attention.
