We have been doing some testing on kernel latencies for audio.
The 2.6.11 kernel is basically *unusable* for professional audio work so
we were looking at 2.6.12 with the realtime patch (i have no idea about
2.6.13 )
We have created some meta-packages based on DeMuDi
http://www.linuxbox.com.br/svn/ubuntu-br-audio/
so as soon as we have a kernel it looks like we are good to go
