Breezy SMP install

I tried installing on 2-way Xeon (i386) box and the network
cards didn't seem to come up. A little more investigation showed
they weren't detecting link up because the interrupt was
coming through.  Booting without apic worked, and got through
the install okay. This machine has been used on lots of other
distro's (Fedora, Gentoo, Suse) and their installer didn't
have that problem. Could be that the other installations
use a UP kernel without local apic.
