low breezy hard disk performances

Here's my breezy (current) hdparm -tT on a low-end laptop HD:
/dev/hda:
Timing cached reads: 1740 MB in 2.00 seconds = 868.40 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 82 MB in 3.06 seconds = 26.78 MB/sec
