I just installed Breezy Preview and I'm having the same problem. When
gdm loads, drawing the login screen is painfully slow. Hoary did not
have this problem. As far as I can tell the rest of Gnome runs fine.

I'm running on a Dell 510m Laptop.

I am using the 855resolution program to modify the video RAM to enable
1400x1050 (which didn't get set up by default, by the way :) but the
problem also occurred before I installed it, when running at
1280x1024.

Anything else you need?
