sigh...this has been discussed ad nauseum. the option to verify the CD 
remains hidden despite the ridiculous number of people with this 
wholly-avoidable problem. just hit the 'back' button on the first screen 
of the install. yes, i'm aware that this doesn't make sense. yes, i 
agree that a CD check is too important to hide like this.
