CD Drive Button Issue

One thing that I can see potentially confusing new users is the interaction between the eject button on the CD/DVD drive and Ubuntu. If a cd is in use or has been in use, the button tends not to work (this happens on both my machines so I assume it's not hardware specific) and the user has to click Right Click --> Eject on the mounted drive. Would it be possible for this to be fixed in Dapper, should I file a bug?
