Hi there,
I just want to write again because of extending scanner support in Drapper.
Since I suppose many users have one of those cheaper scanner devices plugged
to their computer, it would be a good idea to extend support of such devices.
I got one of my scanner working (a Mustek CP1200). It was quite tricky, so
users new to Ubuntu/Linux were not be able to get their scanner working.
How about a small scanner configuration tool. Something looking for a scanner
on usb/parallel/etc, installing missing packages and enabling scanner in the
scanner config file.
If this already exists, please tell me. I could not find any.
Further, another scanner in my house needs genesys-backend, which is
unfortunately not included in Breezy-packages. Maybe this could be included
in Drapper sane packages?
