bigger files in usb disk (at breezy)

Hi everybody!
Do you guys ever noticed that before?
take a look at the screenshot..
i have an usb disk (512Mb, never formatted, so is vfat) and dragged a
folder from hd to it. It keeps saying that the device dont have enough
space, i tought it was a bug, since the folder had 1.4 mb, and the
device had about 11 mb of free space..
when i finally copied, after deleting some stuff, the folder was
copied, but it got 2.4 mb (!!!)

in my machine i used to have hoary, then i upgraded to breezy.
i wasnt having this problem before, thats why im writing this mail.
hope it helps to find out whats goin on, even if the problem its
between the chair and keyboard.

by the way, great job with breezy! i liked the boot splash with the
progress bar.
and sorry about my bad english, im just brazilian :D
