While on the topic, there is a bug that I think is pretty serious (it
*can* be worked around on a running system, but only by degrading the
utility of systems used by multiple users).

I am only mentioning this here because I already added a comment to the
bug asking about the status but have not yet received a response
(perhaps the owner is away).

It is bug 16195 (http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=16195),
which can be worked around by disabling the screensaver.

I don't know the code, so I don't know that it is a relatively safe fix
but, unless xscreensaver is coded in a particularly suprising way, it
probably should be.

Could anybody give some feedback on this bug?
