Race condition during startup?

Hi!
I've filed a bug (https://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=16749)
because the ntpdate daemon (wich synchronizes the clock during system
startup) sometimes can't find the host ntp.ubuntulinux.org, and
therefore fails.
Looking at the logs, we can see:
Synchronizing clock to ntp.ubuntulinux.org fail
Error: Temporary failure in name resolution
It seems that the system takes too much time to set up the nameservers
in the networking startup.
Anyone has any idea?
Thanks,
Ricardo.
