Yeah, you're right, I meant this one:

I use this patch and work avery day a lot with the -d options, wich work
well for me.
Anyway, I prefer for some stuff to make some hooks and use the
/usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts/ for the scripts (and /.../hooks/ for
hooks, of course).

But I think it depends the task you need to do.
