mkinitramfs feature request

hi all,
it would be nice a  patch to replace any occurance of /etc/mkinitramfs with ${CONFDIR} ...
actually mkinitramfs "-d confdir" reads initramfs.conf and modules and i need to copy confdir/scripts/* to /etc/mkinitramfs/scripts.

what do you think?
