A vlc-multiverse isn't really even necessary. The issue for vlc is that
ffmpeg provides its build dependencies, but one of ffmpeg's binary
packages, libpostproc-dev, is in multiverse while vlc is in universe.
Thus, build-depending on libpostproc-dev -- which is necessary since
ffmpeg is compiled with video postprocessing support -- fails horribly
due to the *iverse split.

The heart of the issue is that libpostproc-dev doesn't need to be split
(in terms of *iverse) from the rest of ffmpeg's binary packages.

I discussed this issue with Sebastian earlier, and we agreed that if
libpostproc-dev can't be promoted to universe, then the vlc source
should be demoted to multiverse so that it at least builds.
