This problem you descripe here is a bug (and I reported it
already as http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=13489).

While we appreciate your mail, ubuntu-devel is a mailinglist about the
development of ubuntu. Please do not report problems like this one
here but rather use the bugtracker.
