Hi All,
So while "porting" the Unofficial Ubuntu 5.04 Starter Guide for the PowerPC at:
http://powerpc.ubuntuguide.org/
I thought that I would create some debs for the apps that are not
currently packaged as debs. So I did :)
I read the Debian New Maintainers' Guide and peeked inside some of the
packages you guys have built for Ubuntu to get a better feel for how
its done here, so that after a few hours of reading and practice I
created my very first deb(s), but I have a few questions.
I created the debs for both the i386 and powerpc architectures for the
gnome-clipboard-daemon. I modified all the necessary stuff and built
the package but noticed that:
On the powerpc build I got a
gnome-clipboard-daemon_1.0-0ubuntu1_powerpc.changes file but on i386 I
did not, here(i386) I got gnome-clipboard-daemon_1.0-0ubuntu1.dsc.asc.
This was the only difference. Is this normal?
I first built the deb on my ppc box then just copied over the whole
set of files to i386 and re-ran dkpg-buildpackage? Is this a sane way
to do this, or should I be doing something else? I know you guys have
build servers, I had to do it manually.
Also, if someone has a spare moment, I would love some feedback if
possible. The packages are availble at:

Thank you in advance for your help and advise,
Matt
