First of all if you are able to see 2 drives and not a single drive you
DON'T have hardware raid. What you have is a pseudo-raid controller
often found in very cheap "raid" controllers (usually onboard). If it
was trully hardware raid. The OS will only see a single drive.



Since it's not a real hardware raid controller, you are probably better
off with the software raid supported in Ubuntu. It's fairly easy to
setup and also gives you alot more control.
