Somehow true, but you will loose all changes when rebooting system
(unless your live-cd is udf in a cd-rw drive, what would made it
possible to save changes). So, if you need to configure network
connection, download and install av program, download virus
database... Ok, doing it once is possible.
But if you need to scan 10 computers, installing it "on demand" would
be almost useless.
If you have 100 computers (ie in company's network) to scan, you
propably woul rather build your own live-cd with av than making it the
loooong way (by repeating installation on each single computer).
It would be realy nice if the virus database update would be the only
file to download. Aslo, possibility to write it on the floppy and
reuse seems good idea for me (as not all computers have to have
internet connection workable during the scan)
