Virus checker on the live CD?

maybe a seperate ubuntu rescue cd would be a good idea, although it
would need time and resources.

it could do things like

* scan for viruses on windows

* fix grub if the MBR has gotten corrupted

* fsck file systems

* let you run apt/synaptic to install things to a damaged ubuntu system
(for example if you installed a kernel that wont boot, and you
uninstalled the old one)

* fix prelinking, incase you prelinked and then upgraded and somehow
ended up in an unbootable situation.

* resize partitions.

* allow you to ssh in to a headless machine (someone will have to think
around the security of this, maybe only connections from an ethernet
port)

* and when everything else has failed let you get important files off
the computer (eg, cd burning, or network file sharing.)

i know there are live cds out there that let you do some of these, but
this would be nice and ubuntised.
