Another theme:

Is it a way for editing priting preferences in _each_ program rather than in 
all programs. For example, a user could print always in landscape mode while 
he/she prints from firefox, but in portrait while he/she prints from 
kghostview.

I think it could be useful.

Probably, it should be done by server architecture (modification of cupsd, 
intermediate server in which we share programs-printing preferences, ...).

What's your opinion about that?

PS: Perhaps a good idea were to apply that to sound: server to personalize (by 
centralized way) events sounds on each program.
