Debian is not only a GNU/Linux distro; it also has a kFreeBSD port, a
HURD port, and I think a NetBSD port.

Also, even though there isn't (yet) a port that doesn't use any GNU
tools, it's possible (a la uclibc or *BSD libc, pdksh, and a *BSD kernel
and init) if a free non-GNU C compiler is made.
