hands off net install requres hands

I currently am not able to do a hands off net install.

If that needs a new bug report open, le-me know.

Even if this isn't critical to the final distribution, it does hinder my 
testing.  Granted the less I test, the lest "non bugs" I find, but I 
would like to think the ones I do find make up for it.  ;)
