Hi,
I have a Sony Vaio TR2 notebook which was running Debian sid and i
decided to upgrade to Ubuntu Hoary. I had some troubles with package
versioning, but i managed that. It's working like a charm.
But, i like to made custom kernels, using some patches, like:
- - Reiser4
- - swsusp2 (and bootsplash)
- - shfs
- - sony acpi specific patches
And, to get automounting support i added rml's inotify patch. When i
insert a removable media, it gets mounted automagically. However, looks
like gnome isn't being notified of that action, and as a result, the
drive doesn't show as mounted when i go to Places->Computer.
DBUS, HAL and gamin are ubuntu versions and are running fine, AFAIK.
What am i missing? It does work with ubuntu's default kernel.
thanks,
